Antidoping Educational Program

1. Aims

Through its educational program, the Antidoping Centre promotes the idea of clean sport, encourages the athletes to compete honestly without using doping, as well as to respect the moral and ethical values of the sport spirit, which represents human perfection.

2.Target groups

The Antidoping Centre organizes and performs educational seminars for:

1. Athletes
2. Athlete support personnel
3. Sport physicians
4. Target-oriented preventive programs
5. Teachers from the sport schools in Bulgaria
6. Outreach programs for international and Bulgarian athletes, carried out in cooperation with international federations and organizations
7. Athletes, coaches and physicians upon request of licensed sport organizations and clubs

3. Scope of the Antidoping program

The Antidoping program includes the following items:

• Doping and Anti-Doping rules violations
• Prohibited list
• Doping Control Procedure
• Rights and responsibilities of the athletes and the athlete support personnel
• Risk of using performance-enhancing drugs
• Harm to the spirit of sport
• Therapeutic Use Exemptions /TUE/
• Nutritional Supplements
• Legislation, sanctions and results management in compliance with the World Antidoping Code and the Regulations on doping control in training and competition activities
• ADAMS - submitting whereabouts information
• Speak up: Report Doping
