The Prohibited List is an international standard of the World Anti-Doping Agency identifying the substances and methods that are prohibited in sport.
The Prohibited List is divided into three main categories.
A ‘specified substance’ is the substance whose presence in an athlete’s sample could be susceptible to a credible non-doping explanation.
Tramadol will be prohibited in-competition as of 1 January 2024.
Although the Anti-Doping Centre does not recommend the use of any food supplements because of the risks of contamination, we do encourage all athletes who nevertheless decide to use a supplement, to read carefully the labels
