Types of Registered Testing Pools

There are two types of Registered Testing Pools:

• international Registered Testing Pools (their size and make-up are determined by the international federations); and • national Registered Testing Pools (their size and make-up are determined by the national anti-doping organizations).

Under the Regulations on Anti-Doping Control Activities, there are two types of athletes based on the type of the Registered Testing Pool they are part of:

• international-level athletes (athletes designated by one or more international federations as being within their Registered Testing Pool); and • national-level athletes (athletes, other than an international-level athletes, who are designated by the Anti-Doping Centre as being within the Anti-Doping Centre’s Registered Testing Pool).
